Stalker Lily final copy

“Come on guys let’s head to McLarens and have a beer instead of sitting in a lame coffee house, it’s so not cool” Barney says in an annoyed voice.

“Barney its 10 in the morning”

“Oh yeah I am still drunk from last night Oh man I had the most amazing night there was a blonde a brunette and a hose pipe…”

“Ok Barney No one wants to hear about another one of your disgusting escapades. Wait. Did you say a hose pipe? No never mind I don’t even want to know. What I do want to know is that, why did the hot barista write her number on Marshalls cup? Ooh I think someone likes you Marshall” Ted says as he gives Marshall a dirty smirk.

Marshall smiles from ear to ear “Really you think she’s interested? Maybe I should go...”

“Well obviously she thought that was my coffee” Barney interrupts and snatches Marshall’s coffee cup trying to save the number into he’s phone.

Ted snatches the coffee cup away from Barney. “Barney that number was clearly for Marshall. You should ask her out Marshall.”

“You know what I’m going to do it. Yeah I mean it has been 6 months since Lily and I broke up.”

Marshall heads towards the counter and asks her out on a date. She replies with a quick Yes.

“OK great I will see you tomorrow at 7 pm”.

 “Well she said yes we are going out tomorrow”.

 “That’s great buddy I am so proud of you” Ted says and pats Marshall on the back.

The following day Lily visits  Marshall and Ted’s apartment to invite them for drinks at her apartment.

“Hey Ted you think I should invite Marshall?”

“Um yeah I don’t think he can make it tonight anyways he’s going on a date tonight”

“Oh ok” Lily replies with disappointment.

“Are you ok with that Lily?” Robin asks sympathetically while stroking her back.

“Oh yeah of course why wouldn’t I be? I mean he has to move on eventually.”

“OK girls I am off to work I will see you tonight right Lily?”

“Um actually I forgot the drinks have to be tomorrow night I have to do something tonight”.

“Oh ok I’ll see you tomorrow night then”.  Ted gives Lily a hug and heads off to work.

“Oh my god Robin! Marshall is going on a date? That’s horrible!”

“What? I thought you said you were ok with it?”

“Well yeah of course I had to say that in front of Ted! Who is she? And is she hotter than me?”

“I have no idea who she is all I know is that her name is Laura and she works at Starbucks on 5^th Avenue.”

Lily grabs her coat and heads towards the door.

Oh God I should not have told you that. Are you going to kill her? Lily think about your future...”

“What no are u crazy I am just going to check he if she’s hotter than me and who’s this Laura bitch. Jesus Robin you have a wild imagination”.

Robin laughs nervously “I was just joking. So in other words you’re going to stalk your ex-boyfriend’s date?”

“Yeah I guess you could call it that. Ok I am off I’ll see you later.”

Two hours later, while Marshall gets ready for he’s date he receives a disturbing phone call.

“At the hospital!?” Marshall says on the phone.

“Oh no Lily what did you do?” Robin says under her breath.

Marshall gets off the phone. “Oh my god Lily is in hospital, she met in an accident! We have to go now!”

Marshall, Robin Ted and Barney drops whatever they were doing and rushes to the hospital.

As they arrive at the hospital they notice Laura sitting in the waiting room.

Marshall runs to the doctor “Is Lily ok?” Marshall asks in a shaky voice.

The doctor lays he’s hands on Marshalls shoulder “Lily is going to be fine she just has a slight concussion. A horse trampled her while she was crossing the road. She just needs some rest.”

Marshall turns around to Laura. “Hey Laura sorry what are you doing here?”

“Well I was on the way to meet you and I felt some one following me that person had a massive coat over their head and they kept shouting out my name in a deep voice and when I turned around to look back she got trampled by a horse so I rushed over and she was unconscious so I rang the ambulance. They said that you were listed as one of the emergency contact then I realised that she was your ex.” Laura says in a worried voice.

“Um yeah she is I just don’t understand why she was following you.”

“Uh I actually I do.” Robin says softly. After Ted told Lily that you were going out on a date she got really upset and wanted to see who Laura was.”

As Robin says that, the doctor advises Marshall that Lily has woke up and so Marshall rushes in to see her.

“Oh my god Lily you are crazy” Marshall says. Marshall begins to break down as he sees Lily laying on the hospital bed with cuts and bruises on her face.”

“I know I am sorry I don’t know what I was thinking I just wanted...”

“ Lily I love you so much I don’t know what I would do if anything had happened to you…seeing you lying in this hospital bed made me realise I don’t want to spend another day without you.”

Marshall and Lily hugs. Just then all the friends walks into the ward and smiles at them because they all know how much Lily and Marshall love each other so much.

“Laura I am sorry I don’t think we can go on that date anymore”.

“Yeah, no I understand.”
